Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day? (Hot, Sweaty, Fly Infested??)

Seriously, it is +17C outside at this moment, 4:30pm!!  It is just like a spring day.  The only giveaway will be that in a half hour the temperature will have dropped drastically and by dinner time it will definitely feel like the autumn that it actually is outside.  Wow, an incredible day...sunshine, hardly any breeze...so perfect.  No wonder new immigrants to the prairies find it diffcult to believe that a terrible snow storm and accompanying drop in temperatures could blow in at any moment.  While that isn't supposed to happen now for days and days to come, it is the prairies...you never know for certain!  And I have to admit I LOVE that about the prairies...the unexpected weather changes that strike with so little notice and catch us unaware, all year round, no matter the season you can never be completely sure that the forecast for the day will be what actually happens.

Instead of driving the vehicle to do errands this afternoon I have been walking outside.  Oh, it feels so good to be breathing in warm, soft air the first week of November.  It feels good to be able to flex those tired, old, still recovering thigh muscles and swing my flabby arms as I walk along. It feels good to be able to forget for a few minutes that I still have the remnants of this cold and that I will feel crappy and out of breath as soon as I am back inside the suite and not as distracted from how I really feel physically.

The next few days are forecast to be almost as warm and sunny as today has been.  That would be wonderful...but it could change within minutes.  You never know and that can be one of the fascinating things about living out here in the west.

Cue the Theme from Jaws!!!
