The Old Adage is Usually True

Unless there is a drastic change in the forecast for next week, the month of March is going to arrive with dry, warmer temperatures and give us a boost toward the coming spring. I would be more excited about that change in the weather from our current -27C if the adage about March “coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion” hadn’t proven to be the case more often than not. A lovely first week in March bodes well for wicked storms at the end of the month. I would be much happier if March came IN like a lion so it could go OUT like a lamb, leading us into a peaceful, predictable spring the first week of April. Hmmmm, it will be interesting to see what happens this year. As unpredictable and sometimes frightening in their intensity as spring storms can be on the prairies, they can also be spectacular to watch. We haven’t experienced much in the way of truly spectacular storms here over this winter, so maybe we will have our turn in a few weeks.
