I woke up at 5am today. Good grief! Fortunately I was able to fall asleep again for another couple of hours and awoke to a brilliant sun shining in. So lovely! It was all ready +11C outside and the idea of having to stay home until the concert this evening was not appealing.
So, I ate my breakfast, washed up some dishes and headed out to Canadian Wholesale store by about 8:15am. I LOVE stores that open between 7am and 8am on Saturdays!! Since that is the busiest shopping day of the week and a good day for me to avoid the traffic in the parking lots, lineups at the cash registers and crowded store aisles, getting to a store well before 9am is perfect for me. I had my purchases all paid for, packed into my car and home just after 9am! As I was pulling out of the parking lot there was a steady stream of vehicles heading into the lot, so I was there at the perfect time of day.
Now I have the first of several loads of laundry in the machine and some other chores lined up to do this afternoon.
Wow, it is so nice to be able to be free to hop in the car so early in the morning and go wherever I need to go. I do enjoy a few days alone every so often and since my husband is enjoying his time at the Synod, I can relax and have fun running my own schedule for these few days. He has been very faithful to text me every evening after the sessions are over for the day. Pretty good since he doesn't like texting with his big fingers on the tiny phone key pad. hahahaha
Happy, happy day!!
