….sitting at my desk and swivelling my head to the right where I am looking at the rack of summer clothes recently salvaged from the basement, then swivelling my head to the left to look out the window and look at nearly eight inches of snow cover on the ground! Where the wind has swirled in under the eaves and across the porches of the various suites there are between ten inches and a foot of snow blown up on top of the plethora of bbq grills belonging to our neighbours! Our high of -7C was reached already before 8am and we are slowly dropping to -10C. What a difference a day makes during a prairie spring.
On the opposite end of the weather spectrum our kids in New York are experiencing an “abnormal anomaly” of heat today. They are forecast for a possible 32F, only one degree lower than the last record set for this day of 33F in 2002. Yikes….to be honest, after being in NYC for a couple of days of 30F back in 2018, I will take our weekend snowfall over their one day heatwave any time!
My husband is starting to get a grip on his health issues again since his bout yesterday morning so we are hoping he has reached the turnaround point. He obediently ate his protein snack at bedtime and prepared a light breakfast for himself as soon as he woke up at 8am. His stomach did not have a chance get too empty and upset itself. He ate lunch at a decent time and felt well and happy enough to go out this afternoon to have tea with a friend, while I enjoyed being alone long enough to do a decent physio workout. 🏋️ I am getting twinges of feeling back around the cut tendon, so that is hopeful. Yup, still a long way to go, but the end goal is creeping ever closer. Where there is muscle and nerve response there is hope!
