hahaha
In an attempt to update my last blog post I managed to delete it instead. Typical of me, the technologically challenged member of the family. Good thing the post was not important. (Are any of them?)
So, here is today’s latest: singing in the little church choir for the first time was great fun. The church BBQ after the service gave us a chance to meet some more people and my husband got there in time, after his own service, to join in the food and fellowship.
However, we got some bad news today about our beloved pastor Joel. He was rushed to the hospital several days ago after collapsing on a bench while walking home from work. Short story is that he has a pulmonary embolism in each lung. The doctors also discovered clots in both his legs. This is a life threatening condition and he meets none of the usual criteria that lead to this problem. We are very worried. This man is only about 40 years old, has three children and a young wife who is just completing chemotherapy and awaiting surgery as soon as she has recovered sufficiently from the chemo. Please, please, should you feel so led, send up a prayer for this dear family who are suffering so much. Please pray that pastor Joel will recover soon and not be plagued by this condition for the rest of his life. Thank you so much. His co-worker, pastor John, is struggling with a dying mother, a daughter experiencing traumatic brain dysfunction and a tiny grandson with unbelievably horrible, incurable health issues. They too need prayer support. Church was tough to get through today. So much bad news.
My husband is nearly finished packing for his early morning flight. Although it is only 9pm, I am going to bed. 4:30am is going to come too soon, even at that!
Nights night all.
