Good, Bad and Indifferent

It seems that those three categories fit all of life’s situations. Like yesterday for instance.

The Good:
—my husband was able to fix my computer issues with a change of cords and a can of contact cleaner
—we took a short walk together around our neighbourhood late yesterday afternoon after trying to walk around the lake, but not feeling comfortable with the large number of people who were ignoring social distancing on the paths
—online church services were more meaningful than we expected them to be with Zoom allowing the congregation at my church to still see each other on the screen
—Kat delivered a carton of her wonderfully tasty butter chicken that paired well with the flavouring mix we added to some couscous

The Bad:
—our stress over our son’s situation in NYC remains high
—I found out my mom cancelled her lab tests again when something she heard on the news caused her to panic and she spent the weekend sleepless and crying over her impulsive decision...again
—my husband’s family member is awaiting a scan and finally received his date: April 2021!
—neither of us is keen to have to go out tomorrow to try to track down some necessary grocery items
—this is the first time in months I will have to miss my ladies’ prayer meeting that has kept me grounded in tough times
—our city has 56 known cases of The Virus and three of them appear to be from public transmission rather than directly travel related.
—with grocery store clerks now receiving danger pay and major product shortages in the stores due to hoarding, I wonder how much  grocery prices are going to rise

The Indifferent:
—I am quickly running out of books to read but don’t care all that much as the stories seem irrelevant compared to what is happening in the real world
—do art, read books, play games, watch tv, study theology, pick lint out of my navel....meh....
—yet another meal of lentils....or rice...or soup made with lentils and rice...

So, that about covers yesterday. What fun shall I have today inside this ever shrinking suite?
