The Repairs Continue!

The canoe repairs are going along slowly but steadily for the three boating muskateers.  A palm sander made sanding out the inside of the canoes fairly easy and using the handles of a snow blower stored in the work area made it possible to paint finish laquer on all the seats and slats on both sides at once.  My husband cut pieces from one of my cutting boards to use for filling a couple of large holes where he replaced the ledge for holding a small outboard motor with a smaller piece of teak than was there previously and he used the screw top and its narrow plastic ring from a large water bottle to replace the worn plugs for the air sac inside each end of his canoe.  Mr. Invention strikes again.  All he needs now is for there to be no aphids or "no-see-ums" flying around early tomorrow morning so he can get the last coat of paint on the outside of the craft.  Here's hoping......
